Tamil Padam Movie Trailler

Thursday, December 24, 2009

The movie, titled Tamil Padam, will pull a prank on the stereotypical ways Tamil movies are made. Directed by Amudhan, an ad film director, and produced by Durai Dayanidhi of Cloud Nine films, Tamil Padam will have Mirchi Siva playing the lead. The movie’s title song is a spoof that satirizes the whole concept of an introductory song.

Download 3 Idiots Legally

Vidhu Vinod Chopra(producer-3 Idiots) has revealed that much-awaited film "3 Idiots", releasing Friday, will be the first Bollywood film viewers can download legally.

"This is the first film ever that you can actually download and watch on YouTube after 12 weeks from now," said Chopra. He said that he planned to release the film on YouTube for those who can't afford multiplexes.

"I'm providing this facility for those who can't see it on big screen and watch pirated movies. I just want them to discourage pirated prints. They just need to wait for 12 weeks and after that they can legally download the movie and watch it," said Chopra.

"Tomorrow if there is a facility to watch movies on mobile phones, the film will be available there but in appropriate time. We can't harm our theatrical business by releasing at DTH," he added.

VETTAIKARAN REVIEW

Friday, December 18, 2009

This movie specially made for mass class or B segment, action – comedy movie. Most of the scenes are copied from his old movies like Pokkiri, Bhagavathy, Thiruppachi etc… other specialty of this movie is Vijay is copied the style and mannerisms, dialogues from super star Rajanikanth.

Ravi is a happy go lucky man who adores an IPS officer Devraj and he consider him as guru and wishes to become like him.

After attempting many years he passes plus two examination and meets a girl in his journey in the train and both fall in love and he becomes auto driver to earn bread.

He accidentally meets a rowdy who controls the entire Chennai and he once raped women who Ravi knows, because of the this there is fight between Ravi and rowdy Chella. After the interval film becomes glorious with Anuksha showing of her skin, actually this movie is provided lot of opportunity to show her talent but she failed to in utilizing this opportunity.

Music director Vijay Antony is failed attract the audience with good music. Cameramen Gopinath is done extremely god job, some shots are extraordinary. No new experiment is done to attract the audiences over all an average movie from Vijay.

SuperStar Turns 60

Saturday, December 12, 2009
One word describes what Rajinikanth means to every Tamil cinema fan – ‘Superstar’. He turns 60 today. It is a huge occasion, it is time to celebrate. We can’t find words to describe the colossus that he is. He has been called the ‘one man industry’ and many other superlatives. Let’s wish him many more years of life, health and success…because no one else can be Superstar.

It all began with the movie Bhairavi. It was not the idea of the director, producer or anyone directly associated with the making of the film. The distributor of the movie for the first time ever used the title ‘Superstar’ in the promotional posters. The audience loved it, the producers too followed suit and the title stuck forever. Now we know for sure, the man did not choose the title, the title chose the man and that is why it will have only one worthy holder forever.

He prefers the simplest of attire and accessories. We have always seen him in the most unassuming of colors. First it was all black, then started to regularly appear in the white kurta. He almost never wears shoes, unless his profession demands it. Otherwise it is always the simple slipper.

Rajini is never known to leave the sets and enter his caravan. Not even when he wants to take rest does he retire to the comfort of the caravan, he prefers to stretch out somewhere on the set. He has remained an integral part of the crew throughout his career, he is the Superstar only on screen. On the set, he is as simple as anyone else.

Superstar is a man who loves his books. Most of his reading is on the spiritual side, religion and philosophy, which is evident from the way he speaks at functions. But, when he is not reading spiritual books, he likes reading the biographies of world leaders.

This man, Raj Bahadur. We have to thank him profusely for persuading Rajinikanth to come to Madras and pursue a career in acting. If not for his persuasion and support, we do not know whether Superstar would have made the journey down south. Raj Bahadur was the driver of the Bangalore transport corporation bus in which Rajini worked as the conductor. He was one of the first to spot the actor in Rajinikanth. He is also one of Superstar’s closest friends, one who has a lot of freedom to talk with Superstar.

Another close friend of Rajini outside the film circle is a person named Gandhi works in the Accounts General Office. It is said that they talk on the phone almost everyday.

Vijay's Vettaikaran The 'Desaster'

Thursday, December 10, 2009
This is the first time that Vijay is teaming up with Anushka and the pair looked very impressive.Nakka Mukka Vijay Antony is scoring a peppy music which is sure to bring out the dancing skills of Vijay to the fore. Meanwhile, viewers may recall that Sanjay, Vijay’s son has done a superb dance show in Vijay’s intro piece in the film which is considered to be the highlight of the film..

Even with these highlights some sort of incidents happening all over the world which makes the movie a 'desaster'. Here comes a incident which took place recently .

                                               accidental zone in velachery flyover(chnnai)

The reason behind the accident is the over expection of this maxi cab driver. He is the diehard fan of vijay, after hearing the reviews and comments about the film he was mentally distrubed.. This movie has created a lack of concentration in his mind which led to a desaster.

Here comes the massive desaster which happened in some foriegn countries after seeing the vettaikaran movie trailer

Heeding to the fans’ request, the title has now been altered to Young SuperStar.

Tamannah to team up with Kamal

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

It’s not Mysskin but KSR who will direct Kamal in his next project. This brings down the curtain on the very many rumors speculating in the industry. This short-term venture will go on floors in January 2010 and is likely to be released in August 2010. To be produced by Udayanidi Stalin, this as-yet-untitled comedy flick will be Kamal’s next after the critically and commercially successful Unnaipol Oruvan.

We hear that Tamannah is expected to play the lead opposite Kamal. It’s also learnt that the Punjabi lass has already reserved her dates to make room for this Kamal.

On Udhayanidhi producing the film, they say, "It was the young producer's dream to make a movie with Kamal in the lead.

India No 1 In Test

Sunday, December 6, 2009
Zaheer Khan's five wickets bowled India to an emphatic win, one that took them to No. 1 in the ICC Test rankings. After 77 years, India become No 1 in Test.

The fifth and final day of the third and penultimate Test match of the series on six down for 274 on Sunday, Sri Lanka faced the daunting task of avoiding the unavoidable, but speedster Zaheer Khan ensured the nation did not have to wait for its moment of glory for long, slicing through the remaining four wickets. Team India defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 24 runs to win the three match Test series 2-0 and claim the top spot in the ICC Test ranking

Tendulkar: "Fantastic to be at this position. I have been waiting a long time to get to this position (No 1). In fact just not me, entire nation. I thought when Gary (Kirsten) and Paddy (Paddy Upton), along with Robin Singh and Venkatesh Prasad, all credit to them for handling the team brilliantly. Also all the players have worked very hard in the last 18 months. Right from no 1 batter to no 7 (MS bats at no 7) we have a solid batting line-up. This pitch was a brilliant wicket. There was some turn on the first day and I knew one roll would settle it down and it did." A smiling Tendulkar then adds, " I have told Yuvraj Singh not to call me Grandpa . I have lots of names for him too and I can expose him there! No retirement as long as I am enjoying the game."

Sehwag goes on the rampage

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Sehwag smashed his sixth double century off 168 balls as India looked towards making a big first innings score on the second day of the third Test against Sri Lanka at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai.

Sehwag is the first Indian to hit six double centuries in Test cricket and his knock is the 38th double hundred by an Indian. Rahul Dravid has five double centuries to his credit while Sunil Gavsakar and Sachin Tendulkar have hit four each.Sehwag's double century was studded with six sixes and 27 fours and his brisk scoring ensured that India would be calling the shots in the Test.

Sehwag got to his 6,000 Test runs in style by hitting left-arm spinner Rangana Herath for a big six over the bowler's head. He also became the third fastest Indian after Tendulkar and Gavaskar to score 6,000 runs in Test cricket. Gavaskar achieved the mark in 117 innings, Tendulkar in 120 and Sehwag took 123 innings.

Muralitharan likely to retire before ’11 WC

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Muttiah Muralitharan says he is no longer the dreaded bowler he used to be and might even retire completely before the 2011 World Cup.

The ace off-spinner, who has already announced his Test retirement after next year’s home series against the West Indies, said he may call it quits before the 2011 World Cup in the sub-continent. Sri Lanka are currently trailing 0-1 in the three-match series with the final Test beginning December 2 in Mumbai.

“I am 37 and I can’t bowl as much as earlier because after 15-16 overs I get tired. I will try and play a little bit of one-day cricket where there’s only 10 overs to bowl. If I find everything is not going well, I might retire from both forms of the game before the World Cup,”

He said that he won't be too disappointed if he had to return home without a Test victory in India. "Every cricketer has to go through disappointments. Everything you want to happen in life won't happen; something will be missing".

I am not really focussing on finishing off my career taking 800 Test wickets. My focus is on winning matches. I don't believe in numbers. Eight hundred is just a number everyone will forget once you retire. It's a number to have in your mind. It is good if I get it but if I don't, still I will be happy and go out knowing I had a great career.

$6.7 million spent to safegaurd Kasab

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Indian government has so far spent around 31 crore rupees for the Pakistani to secure him and execute a safe trial.

Per day the government almost spends 85,000 rupees for the 21 year old Pakistani terrorist.

A senior government official said that Kasab’s cell was built with great care.

"There was a huge expenditure on the construction of a special cell inside the high-security Arthur Road jail. It has been designed in such a manner that even if a truck laden with explosives were to ram into it, the cell would not be dented. Such safeguards are essential to protect Kasab's life - and to establish Pakistan's involvement in the attack"-- he said.

Beckham may lose millions after Dubai developer runs out of cash

Friday, November 27, 2009

Ace England midfielder could lose millions after buying up mega bucks apartments in Dubai.

Beckham and Premier League aces Michael Owen, David James, Joe cole and Kieron Dyer all reportedly invested in one million pound luxury villas on amazing islands shaped like a palm tree, but the developer, Nakheel, has run out of cash, saying it can no longer pay its debts and it is feared the builders will not be able to finish the ambitious Palm Jumeirah project. This could mean the players' luxury homes will then neighbour an ugly unfinished construction site - and plunge the property prices of their apartments

Vivek's worries

Vivek Oberoi has been getting nervous over Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra. Why’s that now? It’s because he’s afraid of being sidelined. The actor, who plays the protagonist in the film, has two scenes with south Indian actor, Sudeep (remember him from Phoonk?).

And he feels that Sudeep is more prominent than he is in both the scenes. Like there is a scene where Vivek threatens Sudeep who only glares at him coldly and doesn’t respond.

Vivek feels the cold stare carried more impact than any dialogues and is now worried that Sudeep will be more noticed than him in the film.

Tiger Woods Injured

Woods was injured in a car accident early Friday outside his Florida mansion, and a local police chief said his wife used a golf club to smash out the back window and help get the world's No. 1 golfer out of the SUV.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods' vehicle hit a fire hydrant and a tree in his neighbor's yard as he pulled out of his driveway at 2:25 a.m.They said Woods was alone in his 2009 Cadillac Escalade when he pulled out of his driveway from his mansion at Isle worth, a gated waterfront community just outside Orlando.
The vehicle is the largest in Cadillac's lineup, with the largest EXT version coming in at a hulking 5,909 pounds. Extra heft that can prove valuable in a crash, especially in a collision against a smaller vehicle. Woods' was involved in a solo crash, however.
The Escalade has front airbags for the driver and front passenger, but also side curtain airbags for everyone in the vehicle -- all three rows. In Wood's case, the air bags reportedly did not deploy. Escalade is top-ratedd by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for passenger safety -- five stars across the board. But it only rates three stars for rollover protection.
Oh, and one more thing. Woods could have used the built-in OnStar system to call for help, although there was no immediate indication whether it came into play.
The patrol reported Woods' injuries as serious, although Woods spokesman Glenn Greenspan issued a statement that Woods was treated and released.
Woods, who has won 82 times around the world and 14 majors, attended the Stanford-Cal football game last Saturday, where he tossed the coin at the start of the game and was inducted into Stanford's sports Hall of Fame at halftime.
He won six times this year after missing eight months recovering from reconstructive surgery on his left knee. Even though he failed to win a major, Woods said he considered this a successful year because he did not know how his knee would respond.

Gambhir unavailable for 3rd Test

India will be without the services of opening batsman Gambhir, who will be attending his sister's wedding, for the third Test against Sri Lanka in Mumbai.
Gambhir's spot is likely to be taken by M Vijay, the Tamil Nadu opener. Vijay made his debut against Australia in Nagpur last year

India squad for third Test: MS Dhoni*†,Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh, VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar, Pragyan Ojha, Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth, Virender Sehwag, Amit Mishra, Yuvraj Singh, Ishant Sharma, M Vijay, S Badrinath.

India complete 100th Test win

India 642 (Gambhir 167, Dravid 144, Sehwag 137, Herath 5-121) beat Sri Lanka 229 (Mahela 47, Sangakkara 44, Sreesanth 5-75) and 269 (Samaraweera 78*) by an innings and 144 runs

India achieved their biggest victory against Sri Lanka and in the process clinched their 100th Test win on the fourth day of the second Test in Kanpur. India's previous best against their neighbors was a victory by an innings and 119 runs in 1994 and they bettered that record with ease today. Thilan Samaraweera hit an assured fifty to provide some resistance but it was always going to be just a matter of time before India wrapped up the game.

India's only concern would be Zaheer Khan's no-ball problems (12 in this game and 21 in the series) but he did start the day well, dismissing Angelo Mathews in his first over. Mathews had crashed three fours in a row, which included a pull, and Zaheer placed a man at deep square-leg and tested Mathews with more bouncers. The first was fended off in an ungainly manner and the next was top-edged to backward point where Rahul Dravid took a lunging catch.

Samaraweera, who then added 73 runs with a determined Ajantha Mendis to frustrate India, was rarely troubled during his stay, the highlight of which was a whippy on-drive to a delivery on off and middle stump line from Sreesanth. He has had a stellar 2009 and he played yet another pleasing knock. He rarely looked hurried, tackled the spinners and seamers well and unfurled many pleasing on drives. The caravan now moves to Mumbai for the third Test that starts on December 2.

International Cricket Council's (ICC) World Cup Organising Committee, headed by former cricket board president Sharad Pawar, on Tuesday decided to shift the 2011 World Cup secretariat to Mumbai from Lahore, after Pakistan was stripped of their 2011 World Cup hosting rights by the ICC earlier this month due to security concerns.

India will host the final and one semi-final of the 2011 World Cup while Sri Lanka will stage the other semi-final, the tournament's organising committee decided in Mumbai on Tuesday. India will host 29 of the 49 matches across eight venues, Sri Lanka will host 12 in three venues while Bangladesh will stage eight at two grounds as well as the opening ceremony on February 18, 2011.

Bangladesh would host the opening ceremony of the 2011 World Cup as well as eight matches, which would be played on two venues, Lorgat said.

The 14 matches originally scheduled to take place in Pakistan have been redistributed with eight going to India, four to Sri Lanka and two to Bangladesh. The quarter-finals will be shared India and Sri Lanka one each while Bangladesh hosting two.

The ICC's decision has left India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as the three sub-continental co-hosts of the mega event.
